1. Online Application
A simple, easy, all-online application is required.
Eligibility
You are eligible to apply for if you:
- are currently enrolled in university-level (or higher) institution
- hold a degree from a university-level (or higher) program
*As most courses are taught in undergraduate-level, students with a master’s degree (or higher) maybe restricted from paticipation. - are admitted to a university-level institution
Required documents
- Copy of Passport: A legible photocopy in JPG or PDF Format
- Academic Transcript: A certified version from home institution (Must include Name, Student ID, University logo)

2. Payment
Complete your payment to be fully admitted to the program

How to complete the payment | Once a student’s application is successfully admitted, a payment instruction will be delivered through email. Students will be able to login to the application system and access the payment link directly. |
※ As insufficient payment will not be accepted, please transfer the proper amount of money considering exchange rate and international bank transaction fees.
6. VISA (optional)
It is the student’s responsibility to obtain the correct type of visa to participate in Hanyang International Summer School. As each country has different policies in visa management, please consult the Korean Embassy or Korean Consulate Office in your country for the proper visa type.
In general, students from a country or region where Korea has a visa-waiver agreement may participate in Hanyang International Summer School with the K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization). You may check your eligibility by visiting the K-ETA website.
Students from countries that are excluded from the visa-waiver agreement program must apply for a short-term study Visa (D-2-8) at the Korean Embassy or Korean Consulate Office in the country you are currently studying at. Obtaining a Visa may be time-consuming and therefore we encourage students to start preparing for it as early as possible.
8. Insurance
All students must have international health insurance that covers possible injury and medical treatment during the program. Proof of Insurance must be submitted up to 2 weeks before the start of the program via the online application form. The document should include the information as follows:
- Name of the insured
- Period of coverage
- Place of coverage
Failure to provide the document will result in termination of participation/enrollment in HISS. Korean nationals who are already covered by the national health insurance should provide a copy of 의료보험증. For those who did not purchase the insurance, we encourage you to search online on home country travel insurance websites or to use the link on the right side(“Purchase Insurance”).
