You are eligible to apply for Hanyang International Summer School,
- if you are currently enrolled in university-level (or higher) institution
- or hold a degree from a university-level (or higher) program
- or are admitted to a university-level institution for upcoming fall
Applicants are required to submit the following documents when applying for HISS:
- A photocopy of your passport: Must be clearly legible and uploaded within the online application
- An academic transcript from home institution: A certified version of the transcript issued by university showing all available grades at the time of application. Must include your student ID at home institution, name and university logo.
Your application will be reviewed within 3 – 4 business days after the final submission, you are accepted to HISS under the condition of completion of program fee payment.
HISS accepts payment of program fees via bank wire transfer ONLY. All bank transaction fees and other handling charges should be fully covered by the student. All currency is accepted, however, it is the applicant’s responsibility to pay the exact amount based on the daily exchange rate. (Only deficit or surplus bigger than 50,000 KRW from total fees will be respectively charged or refunded to students upon arrival at Hanyang.)
Students will be given an individual virtual account number which is completely secure and identifiable. This number is accessible once the online application is accepted. Further instructions on the wire-transfer payment procedure will be sent by email.
Hanyang University offers its dormitory for students who wish to stay on campus during the International Summer School. Students may apply for a room at the dormitory online via HY-in portal. Dormitory application runs on first-come, first-served basis. For those who wish to stay off the campus or who did not managed to apply on campus housing, Hanyang also offers a list of Partner Accommodation we are working closely with. Students are encourage to find their own places via AirBnb or other platforms and stay in a different types of accommodation with the locals.
All students are required to submit a proof of insurance which covers possible injury and/or medical treatment during the program. Failure to provide proof of insurance will result in termination of participation/enrollment in HISS. Korean nationals who are already covered by the national health insurance should provide a copy of 의료보험증.
