Description

Digital Studio is designed to learn, develop and harness several new media literacies with an emphasis on digital storytelling in order to communicate with public audiences.

Students will be challenged to apply theoretical and historical foundation knowledge by developing their own digital visual art, design and literacy skills. The course will commence and culminate in a digital portfolio review.

Objective

Students will deeply consider what it means to be a creator at this time of
convergence in order to intentionally engage and develop their unique visual culture
vocabulary, communication, storytelling and design strategies. This course
facilitates individualized learning track within an online global design studio for peer
engagement, feedback and practice.

Preparations

None though students who enroll will become familiarized and asked to utilize visual
workplace software used by professionals (free, trial, and student versions are
available).

Materials: A folder of cases and exercises to complete projects will be provided via the course LMS.
