Description Psychology is the study of how humans think, reason, and feel.  This course will cover the evolution of approaches to studying the psyche (or mind), the main streams of research in psychology today, and the future of the field in light or recent advances in neuroscience.
Objective To introduce students to the field of psychology; to build basic literacy in the lexicon of psychology; and to introduce students to the idea of empirical research in the social sciences
Preparations No pre-requisites are required. There is one required textbook: Kalat, James W.  Introduction to Psychology.  Cengage Learning.  (Available as E-textbook).
