Designated Period for Arrival to Korea

This year, to provide a safe and healthy environment for all participants of HISS 2021, Hanyang will strictly manage all quarantine status of the students. Since the first offline program for HISS 2021 is scheduled on July 16th, we will make sure all participants can finish their quarantine by July 15th.  To achieve this goal, we have set an entry period for all HISS 2021 participants. ATTENTION: HYU Dormitory Check-in is only available to students who have finished their quarantine period.

Caribbean Bay

This activity is a “must” for students who want to visit either the amusement park or the water park. You can choose to visit Everland, the largest amusement park in Korea, or the Caribbean Bay, which is an indoor/outdoor water park right next to Everland. By signing up for this activity, students will get to go on fun/scary rides, or enjoy the water slides, pools, and the artificial sea waves!

DMZ Tour

Want to know more about the ongoing war history of North and South Korea? Students can choose to go on a tour to the Korean Demilitarized Zone(DMZ), have a peek into the North Korean territory via the Dora Observatory, and explore the Infiltration Tunnels extending beneath the border between North and South Korea. Throughout the journey, you will shiver at the very real possibility of what could have happened had the tunnel not been discovered.

Water Sports

For those who are desperately in need of escaping the summer heat - go on a Water Leisure at Gapyeong! This activity is best suited for those who are vulnerable to hot weather, as the icy water in Gapyeong will cool you right off! A variety of water sports activities are to be offered, such as the Banana Boat and the Flying Fish :D Just don’t forget to bring your own towel!

Nanta Show

If you love watching entertaining music shows, get tickets for the famous Nanta / Bibap Show! The show involves acrobatics, magic tricks, comedy, pantomime and audience participation. You will be able to feast your eyes with the delightful rhythmic performance, and the rich sounds made by improvised instruments, ranging from cutting boards, water canisters to kitchen knives will have your toes tapping all throughout the performance!

Bibap Show

If you love watching entertaining music shows, get tickets for the famous Nanta / Bibap Show! The show involves acrobatics, magic tricks, comedy, pantomime and audience participation. You will be able to feast your eyes with the delightful rhythmic performance, and the rich sounds made by improvised instruments, ranging from cutting boards, water canisters to kitchen knives will have your toes tapping all throughout the performance!

Gangneug Tour

Students will be offered two courses to choose for this activity - The first course is recommended for lovers of K-Pop and K-dramas, for those who sign up for this course will be taken to the famous filming site of BTS music video and the hot place shown in K-drama ‘Goblin’. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take pics of yourself right inside the set! Heyri Art Village

Visit the loveliest village in Korea, where local artists of all genre mingle and communicate in the alleyways of Paju! Students will be taken to the famous craft workrooms located in Heyri Art Village, and each of them will be given the chance to create and design their very own stamp, candle - a souvenir to take back home at the end of the day!
