This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all overseas travelers entering Korea without a proper visa or as a short-term traveler will be automatically assigned to a government quarantine facility(approx. KRW 2,200,000) at the Incheon Airport. Therefore, all HISS students must obtain a D-2-8 short-term study visa to stay at the university facility without being transferred to the government facility.

As the Korean government is applying strict quarantine policies with huge fines, Hanyang University has decided to accommodate all HISS Hybrid Track students at a government-approved university quarantine facility. It is now MANDATORY for all HISS students to stay at the designated facility for the first two-week quarantine period.

In short, all HISS Hybrid Track participants are required to obtain a D-2-8 Short-term Study Visa. HISS Team will issue relevant documents to the students once the tuition payment is received. As it may take longer than usual to obtain the visa, please consult the Korean Embassy in advance to avoid unnecessary troubles.
