Visa to Participate in 2024 HISS
It is the student’s responsibility to obtain the correct type of visa to participate in Hanyang International Summer School. As each country has different policies in visa management, please consult the Korean Embassy or Korean Consulate Office in your country for the proper visa type.
In general, students from a country or region where Korea has a visa-waiver agreement may participate in Hanyang International Summer School with the K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization). You may check your eligibility by visiting the K-ETA website. Please note that certain nationals may not be eligible for ‘study purposes’ with K-ETA, so please double-check your visa eligibility with the Korean Embassy before departure.
Students from countries that are excluded from the visa-waiver agreement program must apply for a tourist visa(C-3-9) or a short-term study Visa(D-2-8) at the Korean Embassy or Korean Consulate Office in the country you are currently studying. Obtaining a Visa may be time-consuming and therefore we encourage students to start preparing for it as early as possible.
